Omneon Welcomes John Ison as Vice President of Marketing
Sunnyvale, Calif. — December 16, 2008
Omneon Inc., a leading provider of media server and active storage systems, today announced the appointment of John Ison as vice president of marketing. In this role, Ison will be responsible for worldwide management of all aspects of product, solution, and technical marketing for the complete Omneon product line.

Ison joins Omneon having most recently served as vice president of product management for the Avid video division. He held that role at Avid for three years and, during that time, set out the strategy for the video division's entire product offering. Prior to working with Avid, Ison spent more than six years at Brooktrout Technology, where he was general manager and vice president of product management. Ison earlier held senior marketing positions with Autodesk, Live Picture, SGI, and NeXT Computer. He holds a master's in management from MIT, a master's in engineering from the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth and a bachelor's in management from MIT.
Ison is based at Omneon headquarters in Sunnyvale and reports to Stedman.
