Creating a New Video Infrastructure Leader

On May 6, 2010, Harmonic Inc. (NASDAQ: HLIT) and Omneon, Inc. announced the signing of a definitive agreement pursuant to which Harmonic would acquire Omneon. The proposed acquisition would combine Harmonic’s market-leading position in video delivery infrastructure with market-leading technology from Omneon for the production, management and distribution of digital media.

On September 15, 2010, Harmonic announced that it has closed the acquisition of Omneon and the two companies are now operating as a combined entity. Throughout the next few months, the companies will continue the path of integration to ensure that customers and partners continue to see innovative products, world-class support and continued commitment to becoming a market leader.
