Andrew Thornton was appointed VP of Sales for the Asia Pacific and Japan in January 2007. Andrew joined Omneon in September 2005 as VP of Business Development.
He most recently served as VP of Asia Pacific for Avid Technology based in Singapore, where he was responsible for significant business growth and managing the strategic move into News during his 5 years tenure. Andrew was responsible for Avid Video and Softimage business in the region.
Prior to joining Avid, Andrew held numerous positions with Sony Europe during a ten year tenure. Based in the Sony BPE Dubai office Andrew was GM of Sony Broadcast & Professional Middle East for four years. Earlier, at Sony Andrew held positions with Sony BPE and Sony Consumer products Europe.
Prior to Sony Andrew began his career with CDC and Digital. Andrew holds a BTech and an MBA from Sheffield University UK. |
