 The Video Systems Vanguard Award seeks to honor the most innovative new products to come to market in the year 2000. These are not just "best of class" awards that try to make fine distinctions between competing products. Rather, these are "innovation" awards that honor products that have brought exciting new capabilities to the market, or have set significant new price/performance benchmarks.
Omneon Video Networks is the proud recipient of a 2000 Vanguard Award for its pioneering work in the development of a networked media server system. The Omneon approach represents a breakthrough in system design, enabling more scalability, flexibility and format support than previously possible with traditional media server approaches.
