Omneon And Omnibus Cement Partnership With Recent Contracts

Colossus controls Omneon's Networked Content Server at BBC

Las Vegas, Nevada -- April 21, 2001

NAB SHOW - Omneon Video Networks and OmniBus Systems, application partners since 1999, have undertaken joint development work which has resulted in both companies being chosen to supply systems for major digital infrastructure projects in the UK. This includes a key investment by the BBC in playout infrastructure, employing Omneon's Networked Content Server controlled by OmniBus' multi-channel control and automation system, Colossus.

"OmniBus' Colossus with our own Networked Content Server is a powerful combination for large multi-channel systems," said Lawrence Kaplan, president and CEO of Omneon Video Networks. "We believe the growing integration of both systems is going to lead to even more powerful facilities and flexibility for customers, particularly as they look to bring on stream-enhanced and interactive digital services across multiple channels."

OmniBus Systems' Chairman, Glyn Powell-Evans said, "Our new Colossus Multi Channel product needs a high performance video server to deliver it's full functionality and OmniBus and Omneon are co-operating on a number of major contracts including BSkyB and the BBC. Our automation systems are a perfect complement to Omneon's servers and our latest order from the BBC re-confirms OmniBus' market leadership as the automation provider of choice."

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

OmniBus has recently expanded its products and services to the U.S. markets, opening offices in Nevada City, CA and Salt Lake City, UT, USA. For more information, visit www.omnibus.tv.
