Omneon Appoints Dan Marshall Vice President, Worldwide Sales

Sunnyvale, Calif. -- September 13, 2001

Daniel Marshall, an entrepreneur in the storage systems business, has joined Omneon Video Networks as vice president of worldwide sales. At Omneon, Marshall will run the sales operations worldwide for the company's Networked Content Server, an infrastructure for new media. He brings extensive experience to their sales, service and distribution network for the entire line of integrated networking and storage products. Marshall comes to Omneon from StorageWay, a recognized leader in the storage service provider market, where he was the cofounder and vice president of sales.

"Dan brings over 16 years of executive level experience in the hardware and software storage markets where he has built aggressive, successful international sales organizations," said Larry Kaplan, Omneon president and CEO. "His experience building and managing multi-million dollar sales teams with products and services offered to traditional open systems and client/server markets will further strengthen Omneon's position in the marketplace."

"Omneon is on track to capitalize on their strength within the broadcast market and emerge as a leader of storage products for applications including broadband segments," said Dan Marshall, Omneon vice president of worldwide sales. "Our sales and distribution organization are key to formulating and driving the direction within the company."

As a cofounder of StorageWay, Marshall was instrumental in procuring three rounds of financing, while he established and grew the company's sales into multi-millions for its managed storage services to Enterprise and Internet businesses.

Prior to StorageWay, Marshall was the vice president of sales, Western United States for MTI Corporation, where he launched the Internet storage division and increased new accounts significantly. Before that, he was the vice president of worldwide sales at Network Power and Light, a division of Mylex Corporation. At NP&L, Dan established a worldwide base of OEM, system integrator and distribution partners, as well as building a high-performance application engineering staff and sales force from the ground floor. Prior to NP&L, Marshall held several executive level sales positions at Mylex Corporation - a tenure spanning over six years.

Dan has held senior sales management positions at several companies where he is credited with consistently exceeding sales quotas and building winning sales networks. He directed sales organizations at Kalok Corporation, a design, development and manufacturer of removable hard disk drives, and Storage Dimensions, a manufacturer of optical storage subsystems, storage enhancement software and hard disk mass storage systems.

He has a BS in Business Administration and Economics from San Jose State University, San Jose, California.
