Omneon Video Networks, a recognized leader in standards-based networked media server systems, has expanded its marketing team by naming Paul Turner as Vice President of Product Marketing. Turner will be primarily responsible for managing all product management and product marketing functions, including product strategy, product launches and lifecycle management. Turner will report directly to Geoff Stedman, who was recently named Omneon’s new Vice President of Marketing. With this appointment, Omneon expands its marketing leadership and expertise, while demonstrating continuing momentum by attracting top quality talent.

With over 20 years of broadcast industry and video technology marketing experience, Turner brings a wealth of knowledge to Omneon. In his new role, Turner will direct the company’s product strategy and will develop the ongoing product roadmap. Turner’s intimate knowledge of the customer’s workflow and the underlying audio and video technology will be invaluable in developing product plans that best match Omneon’s differentiation with customer needs.

Turner comes to Omneon from Pinnacle Systems, a digital video systems company, where he was Director of Product Marketing responsible for the company’s "live-to-air" products, and prior to which he served as Business Manager for the Storage Products business unit. Before joining Pinnacle, Turner held senior product management positions at both Sony Electronics and Scitex Digital Video. Turner also spent more than 12 years at Grass Valley Group in a variety of technical support and product management positions.
