Omneon Video Networks, a recognized leader in cost-effective and flexible networked media servers, has announced the appointment of Laura Perrone to the position of chief financial officer, a move that strengthens the company’s management team during a period of accelerating growth.

Perrone brings to Omneon more than 20 years of financial management experience with high- technology companies. Prior to joining Omneon, she held CFO appointments at Icarian, a leading workforce management software and service provider, and Rendition, a developer of high-performance graphical processors. Prior to Rendition, Perrone was vice president finance and controller of Andor International, Ltd., a developer of IBM-compatible peripheral products, and corporate controller of ELXSI, a scientific computer systems company.

Perrone holds a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the University of San Francisco and is a finance committee member for The Health Trust, a public benefit organization in Santa Clara County, Calif.
