French Reseller AV2P Joins the Omneon Partner Network

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- October 5, 2004

Omneon Video Networks today announced that AV2P, a leading reseller of broadcast products in France, has joined the Omneon Partner Network (OPN) and will promote, sell, integrate, and support the complete Omneon product range in the French market.

“We are very pleased to add the Omneon Spectrum™ servers to our broadcast products catalog,” said AV2P General Manager Patrick Pfeiffer. “Omneon’s product architecture represents a true step forward in server technology. The highly modular and scalable architecture offers unmatched flexibility when configuring a system, making it possible to build ‘a la carte’ systems that address the specific needs of each customer.”

The Omneon Partner Network includes developers, consultants, and system integrators that are specifically trained and qualified to propose, sell, and install Omneon Spectrum™ media server solutions. Omneon partners provide solutions that address the growing complexities of managing content acquisition, production, and distribution. Designed to help build successful long-term partner relationships, the OPN ensures that Omneon partners have access to the latest technical and product information, priority access to service and support, and input into future product plans. Additionally, the OPN provides marketing and sales incentives to help partners profitably grow their Omneon business.

“AV2P’s reputation and expertise are well established in the broadcast industry,” said François Cavalade, regional manager for Omneon France. “With 10 years of experience and a well- established infrastructure to support the region, the company is an excellent partner for promoting, selling, and supporting our entire product range.”

Omneon’s server system is built on an open architecture that allows it to support a broad variety of third-party applications for control and transmission, media management, archiving, and collaborative production. Stored media can be shared among many users and applications. The scalable, distributed architecture of the modular Omneon Spectrum™ server system also offers users maximum flexibility in scaling system components and capacity in small or large increments as desired. The system is available in a broad range of configurations to meet the specific needs of each installation.
