Omneon Video Networks today announced the promotion of Brian Kelly to the position of vice president of sales for the Americas. Kelly, whose experience in the broadcast industry spans 20 years, is responsible for Omneon sales and strategic growth in Latin America, the United States, and Canada.
“Since Brian joined Omneon in 2001, his contributions to the company’s success have been critical to our rapid growth,” said Dan Marshall, Omneon’s senior vice president of worldwide sales. “Many of Omneon’s key strategic accounts such as Discovery, PBS, CBC, and Viacom have resulted from the efforts of Brian and his team. We’re confident that under his leadership our Americas sales teams will continue their success in bringing Omneon’s advanced server solutions into state-of-the-art broadcast installations.”
Kelly previously was director of sales at Omneon, responsible for the Eastern United States and Canada. In his sales career prior to Omneon, Brian held senior sales management positions at
Sony Corporation in the company’s Broadcast and Government Systems Divisions, as well as at EMC Corporation and Electro Sound Corporation. Kelly is based in the Washington, D.C. area and reports directly to Marshall.
