At Omneon, we are committed to building bridges to other companies' technologies. And we do it in two ways. First we support open industry standards and formats that allow third-party applications to easily control playout (VDCP), transfer files (FTP, SMB, AFP), monitor system health (SNMP) and modify metadata (MXF, QuickTime, XML). And secondly we publish, maintain and support robust application programming interfaces (APIs) that bring out the best in our technology – APIs that support native ingest and playout control, elegant file access and manipulation even the ability to adjust the resiliency of and bandwidth to files in our content library.
