The all new Fastrack hybrid editing controller makes full use of the power of shared video server technology. Designed for use with the Omneon Spectrum media server, it provides the power of a linear editing system, along with the key elements of a non-linear system. Editware has implemented TCP/IP (Ethernet) control for the Omneon server using the Omneon Player API. This frees-up serial ports required for VDCP control, as well as speeding up various data transfer processes. This will also allow Fastrack to enable additional capabilities of the Omneon server in the future. This driver is resident in Fastrack software versions 4.3.23 and higher.
