Course Goals:
This course is designed to provide a good working technical knowledge of the MediaGrid architecture, networking overview, operation and monitoring tasks, diagnostics and troubleshooting, system component maintenance, and the SystemManager and ContentManager GUI applications.
Intended Audience:
Site Engineers & Technicians, System Administrators and IT Professionals using or supporting the MediaGrid system.
Course Summary:
This course covers MediaGrid system hardware, cabling the system, powering up and shutting down the whole system as well as individual components, network overview, accessing the system, login accounts and users, administration tasks, basic diagnostics and log files, and system component replacements. This class will include hands-on demonstration of daily operations, monitoring and maintenance, as well as skill-building and lab exercises throughout the course.
