 Reliable high-performance content storage is one of

device. The storage components of Omneon
Spectrum™ server systems are specifically designed
to provide the highest levels performance and
reliability available. Like all Omneon Spectrum server
components MediaStore storage arrays are built on
the concept of Smart Scalability™ which allows
broadcasters to start with a storage capacity that matches their current requirements and then add
storage in smart manageable increments as their needs grow. Omneon MediaStores connect to the
system via multiple high-performance fibre channel arbitrated loops and multiple MediaStores can be
linked in a single system to scale capacity and bandwidth.
MSC 4000
The MediaStore 4000 provides greater total storage capacity and a broader range of file system
configurations. The 4000 accommodates up to 16 disk drives and supports capacities up to
approximately 2 terabytes in a single 3 rack unit. The MSC 4000 supports multiple RAID sets in both
7+1 and 6+1+1 configurations. The power supplies on the MSC 4000 are completely independent,
hot swappable and include integrated fans for the best safety and uptime performance possible.
